We are thrilled to announce that the next edition of the <\/span>POINT<\/span><\/a> Conference, POINT 12, will take place from 24 to 26 June 2024 in Sarajevo. Building on the success of our previous conferences, POINT 12 promises to be a dynamic and engaging event that brings together a community of activists, innovators, and changemakers from the region and around the world.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

This year, we have exciting news – POINT 12 will be followed by GlobalFact, an international gathering of global fact-checking organizations, adding a new dimension to our program. We will delve into topics such as digital regulation, the impact of fact-checking, the geopolitics of disinformation, the <\/span>impact of different actors on disinformation and similar<\/span>. <\/span>However, as POINT and its\u2019 participants have always had a variety of interests, we also plan to talk about the impact of technology on different aspects of society, globally important political topics, regional topics of interest, as well as open debates about other groundbreaking topics in the fields of the interest of the POINT Conference.<\/span><\/p>\n

Stay tuned for more updates on the program, speakers, and how to participate in POINT 12. We look forward to welcoming you to Sarajevo for what promises to be an inspiring and enlightening conference!<\/span><\/p>\n

The conference will bring together more than 250 activists, participants, speakers, donors, representatives of the business and media communities and NGOs, partners, and friends from all over the world. The first draft of the agenda, call for participants and call for speakers will be published soon, until then<\/span><\/p>\n

The POINT Conference is organized by UG \u201cZa\u0161to ne\u201d (Citizens\u2019 Association \u2013 CA \u201cWhy not\u201d), in partnership with ACTION SEE and SEE Check networks, as well as the Western Balkans Antidisinformation Hub. It is supported by the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), Balkan Fund for Democracy (BTD), Open Society Foundations Western Balkans and the European Commission through the Thematic Programme for Civil Society Organisations.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n
