The meeting highlighted the shared commitment to an open, informed, and resilient democratic space in the Western Balkans, reinforcing the pivotal role of civil society in shaping the region\u2019s future in the European Union.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Commissioner Kos reaffirmed the European Union\u2019s steadfast support for civil society, welcoming their active role as contributors to the EU integration processes in the region.
