We are pleased to announce the open call for applications for the 12th MENA Fellowship Program, designed for participants from the Middle East and North Africa region. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-13394\" src=\"https:\/\/zastone.ba\/app\/uploads\/2025\/12\/open-call-for-applications-12th-mena-fellowship-program-768x512.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"768\" height=\"512\" srcset=\"https:\/\/zastone.ba\/app\/uploads\/2025\/12\/open-call-for-applications-12th-mena-fellowship-program-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/zastone.ba\/app\/uploads\/2025\/12\/open-call-for-applications-12th-mena-fellowship-program-384x256.jpg 384w, https:\/\/zastone.ba\/app\/uploads\/2025\/12\/open-call-for-applications-12th-mena-fellowship-program.jpg 1500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The MENA Fellowship is a fully funded, four-week program that will take place in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, from 13 May to 13 June, 2026.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>What is the MENA Fellowship Program?<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/zastone.ba\/en\/project\/mena-program\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The MENA Fellowship Program<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is designed for civil society leaders, activists and professionals from the MENA region who are interested in strengthening democratic processes through the use of technology.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the program, fellows will engage in learning, peer exchange and practical work focused on key areas such as: fact-checking and accountability, civic participation and education, government and election monitoring, research and advocacy and the application of digital tools in democracy-building efforts.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Why apply? What makes this edition special?<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Refined and practice-oriented curriculum focused on real-world challenges faced by civil society actors<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Strong regional and international network, connecting you with experts, mentors, journalists and researchers<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One-month residency in Sarajevo, a vibrant city at the crossroads of cultures in the Western Balkans<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Study visits and meetings with civil society organizations and initiatives<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hands-on project work, allowing you to further develop an idea relevant to your organization or community<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cultural exchange, shared learning and meaningful collaboration with fellows from across the MENA region<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><b>Additional opportunities<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><b><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Selected fellows will also have the opportunity to participate in POINT Conference, as well as receive seed funding and tailored mentoring to support the development of their fellowship project.
