\"2.On the occasion of the more severe political pressures that the census form gets back to the old form,\u00a0with closed questions on ethnic \/ national origin, religion and mother tongue, the Coalition against\u00a0the constitutional discrimination “Equality” bespeak to the Council of Ministers that the\u00a0pressures must not take precedence over the rights of citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.\u00a0All citizens of our state have the right for equal treatment regardless of their ethnic \/ national origin,\u00a0and one should not deny them the right to freely express themselves.<\/p>\n

We advised the Council of Ministers, which at this point are Vjekoslav\u00a0Bevanda,\u00a0Zlatko\u00a0Lagumdzija,\u00a0Nikola\u00a0Spiric, Damir\u00a0Hadzic,\u00a0Zekerijah\u00a0Osmic,\u00a0Fahrudin\u00a0Radoncic,\u00a0Sredoje\u00a0Novic,\u00a0Barisa\u00a0Colak,\u00a0Mirko\u00a0Sarovic\u00a0\u00a0and\u00a0Damir\u00a0Ljubic, that we will in every possible manner, call to\u00a0responsability\u00a0Minister who\u00a0support the return of discriminatory forms Questionnaire.<\/p>\n

This action will be understood as a direct attack on the citizens of\u00a0BiH, who do not belong to \u00a0constituent peoples and to openly rallying to\u00a0anticitizen\u00a0and antidemocratic policies \u00a0that are contrary to the European practice, and with the universal standards of human rights.<\/p>\n

The original form of the census form was changed, because of its discriminatory character, as a result of\u00a0the reaction of civil society and relevant international bodies such as\u00a0Eurostat, which had, without exception,\u00a0in its recommendations identified that sensitive question like these should not be placed in a restrictive and\u00a0discriminatory way. It is completely unacceptable in a democratic society that the achieved solution, \u00a0which provides a minimum of respect for human rights and democratic standards, simply abolishes by the\u00a0the arbitrary decision of the executive government, and that instead of it installs a solution that \u00a0will re-establish discrimination directed directly against those citizens that don’t identify\u00a0with one of the three constituent peoples.<\/p>\n

There is no single reason for returning the process back, besides the political pressures coming from various\u00a0interest groups within the political elite of the constituent peoples, that is, parties with a national prefix.\u00a0These groups have repeatedly shown that they see census exclusively as a ground for future manipulation of the\u00a0census results for political purposes, which had at the different levels threatened and slowed down the process of\u00a0European integration. If them now the Council of Ministers joins, as the highest executive institutions,\u00a0Bosnia and Herzegovina will again become the victim of another obstruction to European integration processes, \u00a0and implement the basic standards of human rights.<\/p>\n

Bosnia and Herzegovina, a country that aspires to membership in the European Union, can not afford another\u00a0flagrant departure from the practice in EU member states,\u00a0Eurostat’s\u00a0recommendation, but also the interest\u00a0of its own citizens. Each minister who let that will clearly show that he does not care about the\u00a0rights of those Bosnians who are already victims of constitutional discrimination in this country,\u00a0nor to the European way of Bosnia and Herzegovina.<\/p>\n
