Marshall Memorial Fellowship
The Marshall Memorial Fellowship (MMF) is GMF’s flagship leadership development program created in 1982 to introduce a new generation of European leaders to the United States, it now prepares leaders from both sides of the Atlantic for transatlantic relations.
Selected fellows engage in 6 months of preparation, designed to enhance their understanding of transatlantic relations, before embarking on 24 days of policy immersion in the United States. GMF awards 75 Marshall Memorial Fellowships each year to candidates from all sectors, including business, government and civil society.
Darko Brkan, president of CA Why Not, participated in this programme as a 2018 Marshall Memorial Fellow. As a part of a fellowship he spent 24 days in the USA where he met, formally and informally, with a range of policymakers and prominent members of the business, government, political, NGO, and media communities.
