Open Call for Applications: 11th MENA Fellowship Program
Are you passionate about promoting transparency, accountability, fact checking and civic engagement? Are you eager to connect with like-minded individuals and organizations working to create positive change in their communities? We are excited to announce the 11th MENA Fellowship Program, offering a unique opportunity to collaborate, learn and grow with civil society leaders from the MENA region and Afghanistan.
About the Fellowship
The MENA Fellowship Program is designed to empower civil society activists from the MENA region by providing them with the tools, networks and knowledge needed to drive meaningful change.
Key Dates: The program will start on May 24, 2025 and lasts one month, during which participants will engage in various activities, including lectures, workshops, training sessions and networking opportunities. As part of the program, fellows will also attend the POINT 13 Conference in Sarajevo, taking place from May 29 to May 31, 2025. Learn more about the POINT conference.
What We Offer

- The chance to showcase your work and learn from others during the POINT Conference.
- Accommodation, travel and program-related expenses covered for all selected fellows.
- And most importantly, you will get a chance to work on a project that concerns your work and the work of your organization or group and get both seed funding and mentoring on your work.
Who Can Apply?
We are looking for civil society activists who:
- Are committed to promoting transparency, accountability and citizen engagement in their communities.
- Have a proven track record of activism or civic engagement.
- Are based in the MENA region or Afghanistan.
- Are available to fully participate in the program from May 24 to June 24, 2025.

Selected participants will be provided with a residential fellowship at the offices of UG Zašto ne (CA Why not) in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina for one month. Visa, travel, accommodation and related expenses would be provided.
The working language of the fellowship is English.
