SEE Check Digital Roundtable: Covid-19 Disinformation – Analysis & Trends

SEE Check, a network of fact-checking organizations in the SEE region, is organizing a digital roundtable on Covid-19 disinformation, to be held on Thursday, May 7th at 3 PM CET.

An infodemic has been unleashed upon us. In just a few short months, the Covid-19 pandemic has proven itself to be the most fertile background for the spread of mis-/disinformation that we’ve ever witnessed.

Our fellow citizens in the SEE region are being asked to process huge quantities of information on a daily basis, often leaving them unable to answer the most crucial questions: “What is true? Who can we trust? “.

In the attempt to help answer these questions, SEE Check network is glad to invite you to join our digital roundtable. We’ll be happy to have you join us for this SEE Check network event, in which speakers from fact-checking organizations based in the SEE region will talk about the most popular and harmful disinformation cases in the region and analyse trends that indicate we are faced with a common problem that requires a united cross-border response.
