Third training in media fact-checking was held in Tuzla

Within Independent Media Empowerment Program – IMEP, Civic Association “Why Not?” through its platform “Raskrinkavanje,” conducts series of trainings in the realm of media fact-checking. Journalists and students of journalism participated in the third edition of this training which took place in Tuzla on May 11th.

First part of the training was reserved for discussions about differences between journalism and fact-checking; discussion about different sources of information and ways of their utilization.

Second part was reserved for familiarizing participants with basic tools and skills of practical application of fact-checking in online journalism. Checking up on sources and photo authenticity, media ownership structure, Google Advanced Search and discovery of deleted content from the internet were some of the topics for which participants were offered with free online tools which allow for quick and easy fact-checking.
