“Raskrinkavanje” and “Istinomjer” in the IFCN Advisory Board
Advisory board of International fact-checking network (IFCN) has a new member from the SEE region, Tijana Cvjetićanin from “Istinomjer” and “Raskrinkavanje”.
Baybars Örsek of the Turkish fact-checker “Doğruluk Payı”, has recently become the new director of IFCN, thus resigning his membership in the network’s advisory board. Tijana Cvjetićanin, one of the founders of BiH-based fact checking platforms “Istinomjer” and “Raskrinkavanje” (both run by UG “Zašto ne”), was elected to take his place at the board.
Aside from her fact checking work, Tijana has authored and co-authored several research studies in the areas like political accountability, media analysis, media freedoms, EU integrations and government opennes. Since last year, Tijana is also the lead editor of an international fact checking project “FemFacts” on NewsMavens’ platform, which analysies media reports about women, women’s issues and gender equality in European media.
IFCN has another new member after Peter Cunliffe-Jones, founder of “Africa Check”, stepped off the position of the project’s director. Noko Makgato, who comes from the same platform, was elected to take his place at the board.
