Initial meeting marks commencement of Accountability, Technology and Institutional Openness Network in SEE project

The initial coordination meeting of the ACTION SEE – Accountability, Technology and Institutional Openness Network in SEE project partners took place in Belgrade on February 8-9, 2016.

The meeting was attended by representatives from the project coordinator Metamorphosis Foundation, as well as partner organisations Westminster Foundation for Democracy (UK), CRTA – Center for Research, Transparency and Accountability (Serbia), Citizen Association Why Not? (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Center for Democratic Transition (Montenegro), ODK – Open Data Kosovo (Kosovo), and Levizja Mjaft! (Albania).

Future actions and project activities were discussed as the representative identified and shared challenges and good practices from their respective countries.

The project aims to increase the inclusion of civic society and media organisations in decision making processes and the creation of public opinion and policies. Another aim is to increase the capacity of civic societies to address sensitive issues.

The project is implemented with the financial support of the European Union.
