As part of the EngageMind project, the Public Interest Advocacy Center organized an Open Data event held today in the Center for Cultural and Media Decontamination.

Open Data is an initiative which aims at engaging the public, organizations of civil society, media, academic community, and entrepreneurs in providing access to all data and information from the public sector, public companies, public institutions, government and ministries, and all other institutions whose work is fully or partly financed by the public.

During the event, activist of civil association “Zašto ne” Darko Brkan presented two ongoing projects by our association, Istinomjer and Pravo da znam, and spoke on Open Data principles and regional initiatives, principles and strategies for open government data.

Other organizations present during the event included Transparency International, Center for investigative journalism, One World Platform for South East Europe, and Foundation CPI.
