POINT 4.0: submit a presentation or apply for a fellowship!

Alisa Karović

open call photo Are you involved in political accountability projects and want to learn more about the usage of new technologies in this field? Or maybe you are a developer who wants to get involved with some civil society projects around open government? Or somebody who connects those two worlds and wants to meet similar people and learn more about what is happening around the world, in particular in Southeast Europe?

If you’ve answered ‘yes’ for any of the above questions, let us know, because we have a bunch of fellowships for covering the costs of travel and accommodation for participants from the following countries:

  • Albania
  • Bosnia and Herzegovina
  • Kosovo
  • Macedonia
  • Montenegro
  • Serbia

Read more in order to apply for accommodation and travel fellowship here: POINT 4.0 participants invitation.

We can’t grant fellowships for participants from outside of the above mentioned countries, but everybody is welcome to come. In this case please contact us at [email protected].

We’re also inviting everybody who works in the intersection of activism, political accountability and new technologies in SEE to submit a proposal for a short (up to 15 min) presentation about their work in the field. If you’re an activist developing a project related to the use of new technologies in fields of government accountability monitoring and/or open data, or if you want to share a story about a success of technology-related project(s) of civil society, or about the use of new technologies for advocacy or monitoring different branches of government — we would love to have you on the stage and get to know more about your experiences.

You can learn more about the submission of presentations from here: POINT 4.0 open call invitation.

The deadline for both submissions is March 31st. After that we will publish the list of accepted proposals and fellowship requests and we will contact all the submitters.

You can learn more about the conference at: point.zastone.ba/en or on the FB page.

POINT conference is organized by Regional Network ActionSEE created by CA Why not (Zašto ne) from BiH, Center for Research on Transparency and Accountability (CRTA) from Serbia, Metamorphosis Foundation from Macedonia, and Center for Democratic Transition (CDT) from Montenegro.
