POINT 10 was ON POINT, let’s make 11 even better

Yes, you heard it right, POINT 11 is coming. We are continuing to host your favorite conference on new technologies and political accountability. POINT 10 was ON POINT, so let’s make 11 even better. It is our pleasure to inform you that the POINT conference will be held on June 15 to 16 at Dom mladih (the Youth Center) in Sarajevo.

As you already know, each year we gather the most interesting speakers and practitioners from the region and around the world, and experts in the field of modern transparency and accountability to discuss current political affairs and civil society engagement.

The program is made up of 10+ panels, interviews, presentations and other sessions where different people from the region and beyond would share their original work, projects, ideas and thoughts.

Some of this year’s topics will include developments around big tech; the impact of video and podcast; preventing and fighting disinformation; looking into ways how to improve credible journalism; different aspects of the invasion on Ukraine and the impacts of it; the technology of civic engagement, promotion of democracy or fighting disinformation (AI, automated fact-checking, tools for digital participation, other tools); the hype of AI and its’ effects on civil society and democracy promotion; human rights and technology; as well as important regional and local events like US presidential, EU elections or elections in the region.

The conference will bring together 300  youngsters, participants, speakers, donors, representatives of the business community and NGOs, partners, and friends from all over the world.

The first draft of the agenda and the call for speakers will be published soon,  until then
